Will switching suppliers affect my PSEG service reliability?

No. PSEG continues to deliver electricity and respond to outages regardless of which TPS you choose. Switching only changes who generates your electricity and your per-kWh supply rate, not your delivery service.

What is the Basic Generation Service rate on my PSEG bill?

Basic Generation Service (BGS) is the default supply rate set each June 1 by the NJ Board of Public Utilities annual auction. PSEG bills BGS at no markup. Any NJBPU-licensed TPS rate below the current BGS rate at your real monthly usage means you save money on supply.

How long does it take to switch suppliers with PSEG?

Typically 1-2 billing cycles (2-4 weeks). The TPS files your enrollment with PSEG; the switch processes on your next meter read. New contracts include a 3-day rescission window under NJBPU rules. There is no service interruption.
