Electricity Suppliers
Compare certified suppliers serving deregulated markets. See contract terms, fees, and what to watch for.
How electricity choice works
In deregulated states, you can choose your electricity supplier while your utility handles delivery.
- Same electricity, different price. The product is identical regardless of supplier.
- What varies is contract terms. Compare rates, term lengths, and early termination fees.
- All suppliers are state-certified. PUCO (OH), PUC (PA), and DPU (MA) regulate suppliers.

How We Evaluate Suppliers
Information is gathered from verified sources including state PUC records, BBB profiles, and company websites. This page reports factual information including:
- Contract terms, rate ranges, and early termination fees
- Company background, ownership, and years in business
- Red flags from customer complaints or regulatory records
No subjective ratings are assigned. The electricity is identical—what varies is price and contract terms.
